Sputnik V vaccine OK’d in San Marino

San Mario Ministry of Health, the world’s oldest constitutional republic, approved the use of a Russian vaccine against Sputnik V coronavirus, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) reports.

Registration was carried out as part of the accelerated procedure (emergency use authorization, EUA). The Republic of San Marino became the 30th country in the world to approve the use of the Sputnik V vaccine. The drug is one of the three world anti-COVID-19 vaccines in terms of the number of approvals received by state regulators.

“The oldest state in Europe, San Marino, has today joined 29 other states in the world, where Sputnik V will become one of the main tools in the fight against coronavirus. The Sputnik V vaccine is widely recognized by medical specialists and state regulators as one of the most effective, safe and affordable drugs, “said Kirill Dmitriev, Director General of the RDIF.

Currently, Sputnik V is also registered in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, the UAE, Iran, the Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bahrain, Montenegro, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Gabon.
