The developers of the Sputnik V vaccine will file a lawsuit against the Brazilian medical regulator ANVISA for deliberately disseminating false and inaccurate information, according to the Sputnik V page on Twitter. The regulator admitted that he did not test the Russian vaccine, the report said.
“After ANVISA admitted that it did not test the Sputnik V vaccine, the Russian side will hold a trial in Brazil in the case of defamation against the regulator for intentionally disseminating false and inaccurate information,” the report said.
Earlier, the Russian Direct Investment Fund described the technical comments of the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) about Sputnik V as untrue. ANVISA delayed the registration of the drug in the country, despite the approval of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, which recognized the vaccine as safe and an agreement to supply the vaccine to the Brazilian Ministry of Health.
