President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin approved the list of instructions for the implementation of the Message to the Federal Assembly of April 21, 2021, which included the creation of technologies for the production of vaccines, pharmaceutical stations and new-generation medicines. The entire list of instructions was published on the Kremlin’s official website on May 2.
According to the document, the Russian government is instructed to ensure the implementation of the most important innovative projects of state importance, aimed, including:
– the creation of Russian technologies for the production of a wide range of vaccines, pharmaceutical substances, as well as new generation medicines, intended, inter alia, for the treatment of infections resistant to modern antibiotics, using mainly domestic equipment and components;
– To prevent the spread of new emerging infections, including the possibility of developing within four days test systems for the detection of new infectious diseases in the event of a threat of their occurrence and spread, as well as the creation within four months of effective vaccines for the prevention of new infectious diseases, followed by their launch into industrial production as soon as possible.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible for the execution of these tasks.
In addition, the Russian government, together with the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, taking into account the previously given instructions, should ensure the development and implementation of a set of additional measures aimed at preventing premature mortality of the population from cardiovascular, oncological and respiratory diseases, as well as the phased implementation in 2021-2030 of measures aimed at combating hepatitis C, minimizing the risks of the spread of this disease. The report on these instructions should be made before July 1, 2021.
