Mutual recognition of coronavirus vaccines by countries should be achieved this year. This is reported by RIA Novosti, with reference to Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

“Mutual recognition of vaccines should be achieved this year. And it will be due to the fact that countries will realize that they should not constantly follow the lead of big pharma companies trying to limit other vaccines,” the head of the RDIF said on Friday, September 3, during the session of the New Knowledge marathon.

According to Kirill Dmitriev, “there is no doubt that in the near future the vaccines will be approved in different countries, and that they will also be interchangeable.”

As the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund previously stated, the investments of the Fund in Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine amounted to 22 billion rubles, and 17 billion rubles was invested in Sputnik Light.
