The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin supported the proposal of Tatiana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister, to extend the validity of the certificate on the fact of the past coronavirus disease from six months to one year, TASS writes.

“So this is what we are going to do,” Putin said after listening to Golikova’s report in which she put forward this initiative.

According to the head of state, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends revaccination in six months. But each country can make its own decisions on this issue, depending on the situation in its territory.

“Do you think that in our situation, in Russia, a year is the optimal effective term of the certificate for those who have had the disease?” – the president asked the Deputy Prime Minister of the country.

“It’s absolutely true, one year is appropriate for those who have had COVID,” Golikova said. As the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation clarified, in the case of revaccination the recommended period is six months.
