The Russian authorities will increase the age limit for patients entitled to medicines provision through the Circle of Kindness Foundation. In the future, assistance will also be provided to adults, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a telephone conversation with participants of the Wishes come true during New Year Festivities campaign. The conversation was broadcast by Russia 24 TV channel.
“We will expand opportunities and try to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to receive medication through the Circle of Kindness system. We will increase the age limit for recipients so that those aged over 18 will be entitled to support as well,” Putin said.
The Foundation for Help Children with Orphan Diseases receives funds collected due to an increase in the personal income tax rate to 15% for annual incomes above 5 million rubles. Putin estimated the additional income from the tax rate change at about 60 billion rubles.
