President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has taken a significant step by passing a law that allows the import of biomedical cell products into the country without the burdensome requirement of registration. Starting from April 1, 2024, there will be no need for state registration when importing high-tech drugs and transplantation objects to Russia.
The government possess the authority to establish a distinct protocol for the distribution of such goods, specifically regarding the process of granting authorization for their creation and utilization. The project of the law was submitted to the State Duma on February 1, 2023. The first reading was approved in March, and both the second and third readings were swiftly adopted on July 20.
