Prices for medicines increased in September – by 1.1-1.2%

According to The Federal State Statistics Service – Rosstat, in September 2023, prices for drugs from the VED list increased by 1.1%, and for all other pharmaceuticals – by 1.2% (compared to the previous month).

Among the drugs related to Vital and Essential Drugs, the most noticeable increases in price were “Acetylsalicylic acid” (domestic aspirin, +4.9%), “Furosemide” (+3%), “Pancreatin” (+2.2%), “Ingavirin”, “ Ceftriaxone (+2.1%), Acetylcysteine (ACC), Xarelto (+1.8%) and others. At the same time, prices for Phosphogliv (-0.8%), Suprastin (-0.7%), and Oseltamivir (Nomides, -0.3%) decreased.

In the group of drugs not included in the list of vital and essential drugs, Allohol (+2.7%), Sulfacetamide (+2.3%), Ketorol Express (+2.2%), Acipol (+ 2.1%), “Methyluracil” (+2%), “Activated carbon” (+1.9%) and others. A decrease in value was recorded only for Sinupret (-1.1%).

In addition, prices for medical products increased: bandages (+1.3%), cotton wool (+1%), blood pressure measuring devices (+0.7%), corrective glasses and electronic medical thermometers (+0.5% ), disposable syringes (+0.3%).
