For the period from January to November 2024, according to RNC Pharma, the production of medicines in the Russian Federation reached 753.8 billion rubles, which shows an increase of 16.2% compared to the same period in 2023. Pharmaceutical enterprises localized in the country produced 3.75 billion packages of drugs, which is 75.93 billion minimum dosage units (MED), showing an increase of 1% and 3.8%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
November 2024 was marked by a record production figure in monetary terms – 80.3 billion rubles, exceeding the figure for November 2023 by 19.7%. At the same time, the physical volume of production decreased by 6.4%, continuing the negative trend for the fourth month in a row. In total, 353.2 million packages of medicines were produced in November, which, when converted to minimum dosage units, amounted to 7.26 billion IU, showing a decrease of 4%.
