The Russian Ministry of Health expects significant progress in the development of innovative drugs and methods for treating oncological diseases. Mikhail Murashko stated that results from domestic platforms for new generation drugs will be shared this year. “We are developing new platforms for treatment, for the creation of new drugs. We expect the first results for a number of them this year,” he said.
The head of Russian Ministry of Health stated that transplantation is increasingly common for cancer treatment in Russia. According to him, a significant increase in the number of such operations is planned for 2025. He remembered that during the execution of the national project “Healthcare” (2019-2024), the rate of early cancer diagnosis surged to 61%. Additionally, one-year mortality rates dropped by 22%, while five-year survival rates improved by over 10%.
