In 2024, Moscow’s purchases from small businesses hit a record 639.2 billion rubles, up 52% from the previous year. Medical goods, including medicines, equipment, and furniture, totaled 110.4 billion rubles in purchases. The Department of Economic Policy and Development of Moscow reported this, citing Deputy Mayor Maria Bagreeva.
Funds were allocated for meals in social institutions (101.3 billion rubles) and construction (65.6 billion rubles) alongside the medical sector. The list of in-demand categories also included purchases of municipal special equipment and urban improvement elements.
Over twenty years, contracts between the city and small businesses totaled 3.5 trillion rubles. Currently, Moscow accounts for 16% of all national purchases from small businesses.
