Russian President Vladimir Putin during the meeting with the government instructed to begin mass vaccination of all Russians starting next week, said the Kremlin website.

“We need to move from large-scale to mass vaccination. And I ask you intend it, to prepare the appropriate infrastructure. Therefore, I ask you to start mass vaccination of the entire population from next week and build an appropriate schedule for this work as we do for other diseases, for example, influenza”, the president urged.

According to the head of state, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin previously reported to him that the industry “not only met all the promised standards and volumes, but also exceeded the planned vaccine production volumes.”

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the authorities are ready to start it from Monday, January 18.

“We are ready to fulfill your task to transition from large-scale vaccination to wider vaccination of the population in January – February” she said.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, despite the holidays, vaccination of the population in the country was ongoing and continues as planned. In three days, from January 11 to 14, about 600 thousand doses of the drug should be delivered to the regions.
