Detecting test system of coronavirus mutation found in the UK is at the final stage of testing, Rospotrebnadzor reports.
“The isothermal amplification technology allows to analyze during one and a half hours from the moment of smear taking to the finished result, while classical tests take three times as long. A similar set of reagents was created for the first time in the world, its tests are currently being completed”, the message reports.
The test system was developed by the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor. It is able to distinguish the “British” mutated strain of coronavirus from the non-mutated due to the use of special sequences of oligonucleotides.
