Sputnik V vaccine certified in Uzbekistan


The Russian anti-COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V is certified in the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

Currently, Sputnik V is one of the three world anti-COVID-19 vaccines in terms of the number of approvals received by state regulators.

Sputnik V has already been registered in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, the UAE, Iran, the Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan

Sputnik V is approved for use in 28 countries, which symbolizes the huge success of Russian science and its significant contribution to saving millions of lives. Vaccine supplies to Uzbekistan will be an important step for the coronavirus prevention in the country, “said Kirill Dmitriev, RDIF CEO.

The efficiency of Sputnik V is 91.6%, as confirmed by the publication of data in The Lancet, one of the oldest and most respected medical journals in the world; it is one of only three drugs in the world with efficacy above 90%; vaccine provides full protection against severe cases of coronavirus.
