Sputnik V vaccine OK’d in Armenia

The Armenian Ministry of Health has registered a Russian anti-COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) reports.

The decision to approve the vaccine was made by decree of the Ministry of Health of the Republic on the basis of phase III clinical research data in Russia without conducting additional studies.

“Today we announce the approval of the drug by the Armenian Ministry of Health. Due to it we start vaccination of citizens using one of the world’s best anti-COVID vaccines. We hope that our cooperation will help protect people’s health and bring closer the end of COVID-19 restrictions”, said Kirill Dmitriev, Director General of the RDIF.

The Sputnik V vaccine is currently registered in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, the UAE, Iran, the Republic of Guinea and Tunisia.
