Sputnik V vaccine OK’d in Bahrain

The Sputnik V vaccine is registered by the National Health Regulatory Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain (NHRA), according to the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

Registration was carried out as part of an accelerated procedure (emergency use authorization) without conducting additional clinical studies on the territory of the state.

“NHRA’s decision to approve Sputnik V will protect the country’s population through a safe and effective vaccine. Joining forces is key to defeating the pandemic. We are ready to help our partners and provide anti-COVID-19 vaccine, which is one of the best in the world”, said Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the RDIF.

Bahrain became the 24th country in the world approved the use of the Satellite V vaccine. Previously, the drug was approved in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, the UAE, Iran, the Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan and Mongolia.
