Russian President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Fu Chong discussed during the phone conversation the supply of the Sputnik V vaccine, the Kremlin press service said.
“The prospects for a joint fight against coronavirus infection, as well as deepening contacts between the relevant departments of the two countries on the supply of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, were discussed,” the report said.
In an interview on both sides, the mood for the further dynamic development of the entire complex of Russian-Vietnamese relations was “confirmed.”
Earlier, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and one of the leading manufacturers of vaccines and drugs in India, Panacea Biotec, agreed on a partnership to produce 100 million doses of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine annually.
