The first batch of the Sputnik V vaccine, released by the Serbian Institute of Virology Torlak, passed quality control at the Russian Gamalei Center. This was announced on Twitter by the head of the intergovernmental committee for cooperation with Russia Nenad Popovich.

“Serbia is becoming the first country in Europe to produce the Sputnik V vaccine. The vaccine is the most powerful weapon of the future,” he said.

In April of this year, Serbia signed an agreement on the transfer of technologies for the production of Sputnik V.
