The State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Agency for Medicines of Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in an educational webinar on April 29, where they shared their experience in conducting GMP inspections in pandemic conditions, reports SID&GP.
The webinar was organized for inspectors to share professional experience on how to conduct GMP inspections in a pandemic of coronavirus infection.
From the SID&GP, the director of the institute Vladislav Shestakov made a welcoming speech. The experience and vision of conducting the most effective remote GMP inspections was shared by the head of educational projects of the SID&GP of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Ivan Gulyaev.
The Agency for Medicines and Medical Products of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Assistant Director of Legal Affairs Mladen Čančarević, Assistant Tamara Erceg, GMP Inspector Samra Šuvalija.
During the educational webinar, experts considered the regulation and conduct of GMP inspections, including in the context of the pandemic, the experience of the inspectorate of Russia, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special attention was paid to the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices, a new educational project created on the initiative of the SID&GP within the framework of the EAEU.
“I would especially like to note that Russia’s interaction with Bosnia and Herzegovina is distinguished by a friendly atmosphere and progressive dynamics of development. Over the years, our cooperation has become multi-vector. In addition to the signed agreement, the SID&GP of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia in 2019 conducted two inspections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a result of inspections, two certificates were issued. says Vladislav Shestakov. “An educational webinar is a unique opportunity to share the experience of inspectors of Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the opportunity of our employees to improve their level of qualifications, which is certainly important, since GMP inspectors are specialists with rare professional competencies and unique skills, abilities.”
On December 11, 2020, SID&GP and the Agency for Medicines and Medical Products of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a cooperation agreement. In March 2021, the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to purchase a vaccine for Russian-made coronavirus Sputnik V.
