The experiment of labeling biologically active supplements will last in the Russian Federation from May 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022. The corresponding government decree was published on May 4 on the portal publication.gov.ru.
The operator of the information system used in the experiment – CRPT – was recommended to develop requirements for the system and for the protection of the information contained in it by June 1, 2021. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate the creation and functioning of the system.
Until November 30, 2021, until February 1 and until August 1, 2022, the government should receive reports on the results of the experiment, the document says.
Last year, the ministry announced the decision to conduct an experiment on the labeling of dietary supplements in Russia. Preparation for the experiment started in April. According to experts, this initiative is somewhat premature, since before the introduction of labeling it would be worth solving a number of more pressing problems.
