A new resident, OOO Argumentum Pharma, is going to start work in the Dubna Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the north-west of the Moscow Region. This was reported by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the region.

The company plans to create a modern high-tech production of sterile finished pharmaceutical products, including those included in the list of vital and essential drugs (VED). OOO Argumentum Pharma, as part of this project, intends to engage in substitution of foreign analogues with more affordable domestic products that also meet the same quality standard.

The drugs produced by the company can be used to stabilize blood pressure during surgical interventions; for arterial hypertension, tachycardia, or myocardial infarction; for pain syndrome, including for pain relief during childbirth.

According to Ekaterina Zinovieva, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region, organizations that have set up their production facilities in special economic zones of the Moscow region enjoy tax and customs benefits. They are also provided with the necessary infrastructure.

“This will help OOO Argumentum Pharma to significantly reduce costs at the stage of the development of a pharmaceutical and the start of its production. As a result, the cost of production will decrease and Russian people will have important medicines available at lower prices,” Ekaterina Zinovieva commented.

The company leases a land plot with a total area of about 2.3 hectares in the Dubna SEZ. That site will be used to built a laboratory and production complex with a total area of at least 9,200 square meters. The total investment in the project will be at least 1.5 billion rubles. Almost 120 new jobs will be created.

Since July, MLT has been supplying automatic slide staining machines used for diagnostics to India. The devices manufactured by this resident of Dubna SEZ help to detect many diseases at an early stage.
