AbbVie, the international biopharmaceutical research company, has supported the launch of Russia’s first multifunctional mobile online platform for practicing oncologists and hematologists, MedOnc Digital.

The MedOnc Digital platform is a nosology navigator with subsections that include various types of studies necessary for choosing optimal treatment regimens, electronic calculators,  as well as a feature providing details on clinical and statistical groups, current events and news. The functionality is based on the electronic National Guide for the drug treatment of malignant tumors edited by Andrey Kaprin. It is planned that in the future the platform will include a drug directory, a clinical trials map, and services for patient routing.

“One of the key directions of our company’s development is to optimize modern approaches to the treatment of oncohematological diseases. Therefore, by supporting the launch of an online information platform for doctors, which will provide them with a broader range of options when choosing effective therapy and help optimize the treatment process as a whole, we have made an important step in implementing the values of our company, such as supporting the professional community and improving the quality of life of our patients,” said Anthony Wong, Regional Vice President of AbbVie in Russia and the CIS.

The project is supported by many oncology specialists: Alexander Fedenko, Head of the Department of Medicamentous Therapy of Tumors of the NMRC of Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Lyudmila Zhukova,  Head of the Oncology Department,  Deputy Director for Oncology of the Loginov Moscow Research Center; Aleksey Tryakin, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Chemotherapy of the Blokhin NMRC of Oncology, and others.

The app is available only for healthcare professionals, free of charge, in the App Store and Google Play.
