The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has extended the permissive procedure for importation into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for another 12 new narcotic drugs controlled under the conventions on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

As noted in the EEC trade bloc, the document was prepared in order to fulfill international convention obligations to ensure the necessary control measures when importing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances into the customs territory of the Union.

The decision of the Board of the Commission will enter into force on January 1, 2022, taking into account the deadline for the entry into force of the new version of the Customs Code of the EAEU.

The EEC previously approved the technology platform for essential oil and medicinal plants and adopted a new version of the annex to the GMP rules. In addition, the commission approved recommendations on technology transfer in pharmaceuticals.
