Rospotrebnadzor approved the rules for the transportation and storage of frozen COVID-19 vaccines. The corresponding resolution is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“To approve the sanitary and epidemiological rules SP 3.1.3271-21 “Conditions of transportation and storage of frozen immunobiological medicines for the prevention of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) according to the attached schedule,” the document says.
In particular, according to the document, vaccines should be transported according to the cold chain principle in four stages at temperatures of munus 18°C and below or as provided for in the instructions for the use of the frozen form of the immunobiological product. Transportation may be effected with the use of freezers and dry ice storage insulated carriers.
At all stages of the cold chain, receipt and release of vaccines in the organization must be registered in the log of frozen preparations, with the indication of the following: the name of the manufacturer, the exact address of the place of production, the quantity and series of the received vaccines, the date of receipt of the vaccines and their expiration date, the name of the supplier and the readings of thermoindicators, as well as their identification numbers.
