The Leningrad Region State Construction Supervision Committee has issued a commissioning permit for the second production building of Severnaya Zvezda pharmaceutical plant in the Lomonosov district, TASS reports.
“The second production building of the regional pharmaceutical plant Severnaya Zvezda has been put into operation. The commissioning permission was issued by the Gosstroynadzor Committee of the Leningrad region,” TASS quotes.
The area of the production building in Nizino is 7200 sq. m. It is planned to increase the volume of production to 140 million packages of ampoules of injectable solutions, 13 million packages of eye drops, and 10 million packages of sprays per year. Investments in the project amounted to more than 1 billion rubles. The launch of the second building will create more than 250 jobs. The agreement on the establishment of the second stage of the plant in the region was signed at SPIEF 2019.
The pharmaceutical company also plans to build a warehouse complex for temporary storage and shipment of raw materials. The agreement with the region for the construction was signed at SPIEF 2022. The investments in the project will amount to 1 billion rubles, and it is planned to create about 70 jobs.
