Sotex has registered a drug against chronic pain

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has issued Sotex a registration certificate for a new analgesic drug in which the active substance is tyrosyl-D-arginyl-phenylalanyl-glycine amide.  This is a domestic innovative tetrapeptide drug for subcutaneous administration, which will become an alternative to narcotic analgesics in the fight against pain syndrome of moderate and severe intensity, including in cases with malignant neoplasms, FV reports.

Сlinical trials have proved that the drug’s effectiveness is comparable to that of morphine, moreover, it has a favorable safety profile. Its use in cancer patients provided appropriate anesthesia in the vast majority of cases. No drug dependence or adverse events characteristic of opioids have not been recorded with repeated use.
