The Government of the Russian Federation has imposed a ban on road freight transportation in Russia for companies from the European Union, Norway, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
This is reported by TASS with reference to the corresponding decree (effective from October 10 and valid until December 31, 2022), which was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to the document, the ban is introduced in response to the restrictions imposed by the said countries on Russian cargo carriers. It applies to two-directional and transit traffic.
The ban, however, does not apply to the goods listed as exclusions, which include pharmaceutical products, medical and surgical instruments.
