Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that changes the terms of entry into force of certain regulations on drug control in veterinary medicine. The corresponding document has been published on the federal portal of legal information.

For instance, the entry into force of the law on the control of drug prescription and use in veterinary medicine is postponed for two years, from March 1, 2023 to March 1, 2025.

This concerns a law that allows for issuing orders for the release of veterinary drugs to organizations and individual entrepreneurs who are engaged in animal farming and/or breeding. The document also allows for issuing a prescription for a veterinary drug in the federal state information system in veterinary medicine, including in electronic form.
