Online advertising without proper labeling will now be subjected to fines

    Failure to comply with the requirements set by the State Duma of Russia as stated in the latest legislation can result in unfavorable outcomes. Non-compliance with the newly enacted laws can result in harsh consequences, especially for those who refuse to share their information with the Unified Internet Advertising Registry or conduct online marketing without proper identification.

    The fines for this offense are up to 30,000 rubles for individuals, up to 100,000 rubles for officials, up to 200,000 rubles for individual entrepreneurs, and up to 500,000 rubles for legal entities.

    Advertising data operators also face sizable fines for violating the law. Officials and solo entrepreneurs may have to pay up to 200,000 rubles, while legal entities may be fined as much as 700,000 rubles.
