According to data from Rosstat, the production of medicines in June 2023 witnessed a significant increase of 13.9% compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, it has also witnessed a remarkable increase of 9.1% compared to the preceding month. The increase led to a total value of 54.2 billion rubles.
The production of medicines and medical materials experienced a significant surge in June 2023 when compared to June 2022 and May 2023, with growth rates of 6.1% and 6.5% respectively. Despite the positive trend, there was a slight decline of 7.3% in the overall production of these crucial products during the first half of the year, compared to the same period in 2022.
June saw a production of 1.7 billion doses of serums and vaccines, marking a surge of 23.9% compared to June 2022, and a remarkable growth of 21.2% compared to May 2023.
