Pharmaceutical companies have signed a total of seven offset contracts with Moscow since 2017. The Moscow Endocrine Plant and Biocad, two of the contractors, have already successfully delivered 1.2 million packages of drugs. It include medicine for the treatment of oncological and autoimmune diseases, arterial hypertension, glaucoma, as well as analgesics and antimicrobial.
The agreement with Biocad was officially established in 2017. As of 2021, drug production has been consolidated within Technopolis Moscow, located in Zelenograd. Medical institutions have benefited from dependable provision of crucial medications that can combat cancer and autoimmune diseases. Since then, more than 930 thousand packages have been successfully shipped, and an astonishing 256 thousand of them have been sent in the mere span of the first few months in 2023.
Deliveries under the second contract, signed with the MEZ in 2021, will commence in 2023. The capital’s hospitals have recently obtained an astounding supply of 300,000 crucial medications, ready to effectively treat a wide range of health issues including arterial hypertension, glaucoma, and various neurological and psychiatric disorders. In addition, hospitals have also acquired specific medications to effectively prevent thromboembolic complications. Moscow has made a long-term commitment to procure products for a period of eight years.
