A total of 3.3 million doses of the Flu-M vaccine, for the prevention of influenza, will be sent by Russia to Belarus. The St. Petersburg Institute of Vaccines and Serums, operating under the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia, is responsible for the production of this vaccine. The supply agreement was signed in June 2023 with the state trade and production republican unitary enterprise “Belpharmacia”.

According to Viktor Trukhin, the institute’s director, we have been distributing our vaccines to countries outside the CIS since 2016. Moreover, as from 2023, we will be further expanding our market by delivering our vaccines to the Republic of Belarus. Currently, the institute’s influenza vaccines have been registered in several countries, including Guatemala, Cuba, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic. Influenza vaccine production strictly adheres to GMP requirements in countries such as Russia, Iran, and Cuba.

The Russian government has approved the utilization of the vaccine, which is now accessible for pregnant women as well as children over six months old.
