13 Companies obtain approvals for Hepatitis C Drug Research in Russia

Russia has granted permits to thirteen companies to carry out clinical trials for hepatitis C treatment drugs. During a gathering of the Council for National Projects, Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, revealed this declaration.

“Additionally, there are currently two companies undergoing examination, eagerly awaiting the decision of the ethics committee board in order to obtain the crucial permit necessary for their clinical trials’ he said.

Murashko also mentioned that the Ministry of Health has tackled the matter of decreasing prices for medications against hepatitis C. He explained that companies have confirmed their readiness to provide discounts ranging from 20% to 30% as part of centralization, thereby increasing the volume of purchases.
