The production of biologically active food supplements in Russia is experiencing significant growth, as reported by the Federal State Statistics Service, also known as Rosstat. In just seven months of 2023, 12.2 thousand tons of BAA product were manufactured, which is 17.1% more than in the same period last year.
The publication states that as domestic production of bioadditives increases, the volume of imports of such products to Russia decreases. According to BusinesStat estimates, 20.3% less dietary supplements were supplied to Russia last year than a year earlier. Germany (by 9 million packs), Lithuania (by 8.3 million) and the Netherlands (by 4 million packs) reduced deliveries more significantly than others.
