Russia has imported pharmaceutical products worth $3.8 million from Brazil since the start of 2023. According to data from the Brazilian statistical service, there has been an increase of $2.1 million compared to 2022.

The indicator nearly reached its highest level recorded in 2010, in actual terms. According to RNC Pharma, the dynamics was almost completely provided by insulins from Novo Nordisk (Fiasp, Protafan and Aktrapid), the production of which is localized Brasil. According to Nikolai Bespalov, Development Director of the analytical company, these are common drugs that have many analogues, with the exception of Fiaspa.

Moreover, the demand for oral care and dental hygiene products, such as denture adhesives, toothpaste, mouthwash, and aromatic essences, has experienced a substantial surge. According to the expert, Brazil has been importing several types of pharmaceutical substances, although their numbers have experienced a decline this year. However, it is important to mention that the quantities involved are relatively small.
