He emphasized the impressive rise in patents within the pharmaceutical sector and highlighted the steadfast commitment provided to start-ups. In addition, he highlighted the highly successful collaborations established with international countries in the pharmaceutical industry. He believes that in order to achieve healthcare independence, it is crucial to implement strategies that strengthen the pharmaceutical sector.
“In 2022, patenting in Russia, including the pharmaceutical sector, experienced a significant decline, as revealed by statistics. During the first half of 2023, the total number of patents in the Russian Federation experienced a noteworthy surge of 12%. This achievement is truly remarkable due to the astounding growth in the pharmaceutical industry. The number of patent filings saw a remarkable surge of 40% when compared to the preceding year, 2022. We have not reached the indicators of 2020 and 2021, but there is a positive increase,” said Kirill Kayem.
