94 Russian veterinary drugs to be registered by end of year

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has revealed its plan for the number of newly registered Russian veterinary drugs in 2023. As of September, registration certificates have been OKed for 65 import-substituting medicines for animals, and another 29 applications will be considered by the end of the year. This was announced by the director of the department’s Veterinary Department, Maria Novikova.

“In general, by the end of this year, it is planned to register 94 drugs, which Rosselkhoznadzor will put into circulation after manufacturers have completed registration procedures,” she said during the XXV Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition, clarifying that in 2021, 114 import-substituting veterinary drugs were registered, and  117 in 2022.
