The company “Evers Group Rus” specializing in products for the treatment of wounds and skin diseases, has developed a new product for healing burns. This is an aerosol foam based on a natural polymer obtained from the chitinous shells of crustaceans. The company hopes that the medical product will become an alternative to expensive imported anti-burn products.
Aerosol foam based on chitosan (a natural polymer from the chitin shells of crustaceans) accelerates the recovery process after skin burns. “This substance has low toxicity, is biologically compatible with human tissue, significantly accelerates the recovery process of burn wounds and blocks inflammatory processes,” the report says.
The principle of action of the foam is to form a protective film of chitosan and dexpanthenol, which creates optimal conditions for wound healing and inflammation relief. The company produced a pilot of 1,000 aerosols in September. In the future, the product is planned to be supplied to clinics and pharmacies.
