Russia is to allocate 3.6 billion rubles for diabetes centers

The Russian government will allocate 3.6 billion rubles to create a network of diabetic centers. Specifically, the allocated funds will be utilized to establish state-of-the-art endocrinology centers and patient schools (totaling 2.3 billion rubles). Moreover, there will be an emphasis on upgrading current specialized centers and equipping medical facilities in remote regions with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment (totaling 1.3 billion rubles).
“It is necessary to ensure equal accessibility and high quality of medical care, including for those who live in hard-to-reach places and do not have the opportunity to regularly visit a doctor or travel for medicine,” the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin says.
