By 2027, a biotechnological complex of the Rossium concern will be built at the Alabushevo, part of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, which will specialize in the production of pharmaceuticals. The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, announced this on his Telegram channel, adding that the complex with an area of 37,000 sq. m will become part of the capital’s pharmaceutical cluster, which currently includes 11 companies.

“We will locate the biotechnological complex of the Rossium concern in Alabushevo. The enterprise should be put into operation in 2027. We plan to receive the first release of finished products no later than the first quarter of 2028,” Sobyanin said.

He clarified that it is all about the production of drugs for the treatment of oncological and genetic diseases, including orphan diseases – a total of 128 international non-proprietary names of drugs, 98 of them “have never been produced in Russia before.” Sergei Sobyanin is confident that with the launch of the complex, the city’s need for oncological drugs will be covered by 80%.

“In this way, we will cover the need for domestic oncology drugs by more than 80%. This will accelerate the development of import substitution and the country’s technological sovereignty,” he added.
