Since the start of its work in 2021, the state fund “Circle of Goodness” has taken 23 thousand children into care. 205 billion rubles were allocated to supply them with medicines and medical products. The chairman of the board of the foundation, Alexander Tkachenko, told about this during the II Eurasian Forum on the diagnosis and treatment of orphan diseases “Commonwealth without Borders.”

“Since the start of work, 205 billion rubles have already been allocated for the treatment of children, which is approximately €2.5 billion,” he said. Tkachenko also recalled that the fund’s lists currently include 103 drugs and nine types of high-tech medical care that can be received at the expense of the budget.

In addition, the head of the fund noted that the price of drugs for the Circle of Good wards is being discussed with the manufacturer with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Health and the Federal Antimonopoly Service. As a result of these negotiations, the fund saved 11 billion rubles over two years. “This allowed us to reduce the price by about 48-50%; over two years of work we saved 11 billion rubles. Prices for medicines in Russia are lower than in Europe,” Tkachenko explained.
