The Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy (PSPA) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation received a state task for the development of drugs for diabetes, blood diseases and fungal infectious diseases. Scientists have already synthesized the corresponding active ingredients and are preparing for the next stage – preclinical studies.
The Academy has been granted a subsidy for the advancement of pharmaceuticals, although Rector of the University Vladimir Luzhanin has not disclosed the exact amount of funding received. “Our goal is to finalize these developments within the next three years. The substances have already been synthesized and experimentation is currently underway. The dedicated efforts of our teachers, graduate students, and PSPA students are contributing to this project,” he explained in a recent interview.
