Customs duties on crude glycerin, glycerin water and glycerin liquor, including those used in the production of pharmaceutical products, will be reduced from 5 to 0%. This decision was made by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission on November 14.
According to the director of the Department of Customs, Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of the EEC Vahagn Kazaryan, zeroing the rate will reduce the cost of producing purified glycerin. “This, in turn, will contribute to an increase in industrial and agricultural production, as well as increase the competitiveness of products in the EAEU countries,” he is confident.
Kazaryan added that crude glycerin is not produced in EAEU. In addition to the above, the EEC decided to zero duties on ferroniobium, used for the production of special steels.
