The government of the Sakhalin region intends to localize the production of Indian pharmaceuticals on the island. The visit of the Sakhalin delegation to New Delhi on November 2, 2023 provided this opportunity to discuss cooperation between countries in this field.
According to the message, Valery Limarenko, the head of the region, stated that partnering with Indian pharmaceutical companies would not only safeguard against a potential medicine scarcity, but also provide individuals the freedom to select from various countries for production, each with their own pricing policies.
