The analytical company RNC Pharma provided a report on the performance of the Russian pharmaceutical industry in the period from January to October 2023. Over 10 months, the country produced drugs worth 582.3 billion rubles, which is 3.6% more than during the same period in 2022. However, in physical volume this is 3.3% less than in January–October 2022 (3.34 billion packages).
An important achievement in 2022-2023 was the significant expansion of the range of pharmaceutical companies, according to the report. The total volume of shipments of new products, deliveries of which were not recorded in January–October 2022, amounted to about 17.9 million packages in the analyzed period, or about 0.5% of the total volume of drugs released in the analyzed period. In general, the amount is relatively small; it did not provide industry dynamics.
