The initial shipment of the antitumor medication produced at the Pharmasyntez-Nord plant in St. Petersburg has been dispatched to Myanmar. This was reported by the press service of the company. The volume of the first delivery was 60 thousand vials of the drug.
“The Pharmasyntez group of companies made the first delivery of an antitumor drug to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The drug is produced at the Pharmasyntez-Nord site in St. Petersburg,” the press service reported.
The action of the drug is based on suppressing the process of cancer cell division by blocking DNA synthesis. This drug is a key component of chemotherapy treatments, effectively targeting malignant tumors in various parts of the body such as the digestive organs, adrenal glands, breast, and neuroendocrine tumors. In September 2022, the Myanmar delegation visited Pharmasyntez’s production in Irkutsk and successfully reached an agreement to commence cooperation.
