Regions will receive over 5.1 billion rubles in 2023-2024 to provide portable continuous glucose monitoring systems for children with diabetes. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the necessary documents for this support as part of the project against diabetes.
“Until now, the provision of portable systems to children was carried out exclusively at the expense of regional budgets, which affected their availability,” the report says. All Russian regions will receive federal funds on co-financing terms. In 2023, their volume will be just over 1 billion rubles, in 2024 – 4.1 billion rubles.
The decision to allocate federal funding to the regions will make it possible to provide glucose monitoring systems to all children with type 1 diabetes mellitus aged 2 to 17 years inclusive who need them. Prescriptions for free receipt of such systems will be written by attending endocrinologists.
