On the territory of the Moglino special economic zone (SEZ) in the Pskov region, an enterprise will appear for the production of medical products, in particular, surgical endoscopic staplers and catheters for hemodialysis. The supervisory board of the SEZ has approved the investment project, with a planned investment of 665 million rubles, as reported by the regional government’s press service.
The project belongs to the BetaMed company. Most of the funds that will be spent on construction are her own. The maximum production volume is estimated at 820 thousand copies annually, and the sales markets for the products will be medical institutions, veterinary clinics in Russia and the CIS countries, said the company’s general director Alexey Stepanov.
Earlier it was reported about plans to build a pharmaceutical plant in the Center SEZ in the Voronezh region. According to preliminary data, the enterprise, with an area of at least 12 hectares, will be able to produce about 90 million bottles of medicines per year, and the total investment in construction is estimated at 10 billion rubles.
