According to Moscow’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, the number of pharmaceutical companies in the city has reached 95, creating employment opportunities for over 15 thousand individuals. Notably, the production of medicines in Moscow has surged by nearly 2.5 times in just five years.
He specifically mentioned the SEZ Technopolis Moscow in his statement, in which he stated that one of the most prominent drug production clusters in Russia is currently being developed.These are 11 companies, eight of which are already operating.
Previously, he said that the Moscow pharmaceutical cluster will cover more than 80% of the need for domestic oncology drugs. Today, clinical trials of 10 antitumor drugs in four nosologies are being conducted at Moscow institutions.
“Moscow has revived the pharmaceutical industry, which in the coming years will become one of the leading places in the country,” Sobyanin says.
