The investor has suggested carrying out a project to build a pharmaceutical plant in the Center SEZ in Maslovka, Voronezh region. On January 16, 2024, Entrepreneur Igor Romantsov, on behalf of a undisclosed investor, presented an exceptional proposal to the deputies of the Voronezh City Duma.
“This will be beneficial not only for Voronezh, but also for Russia as a whole. We plan to export our products. I think it is right to establish Russian production of medicines. In addition to the pharmaceutical plant, we have three more large projects. We hope to implement them also in the capital of the Black Earth Region,” Romantsov said during the meeting.
He states that a plant covering a minimum of 12 hectares could yield approximately 90 million medicine bottles annually, with an estimated total project investment of 10 billion rubles. The company will create about 300 jobs. Romantsov added that his partners initially wanted to build a pharmaceutical plant in the Kaliningrad region, but ultimately decided in favor of the Voronezh region.
